7 Special Features of MiraChlor

1. Broad Spectrum Disinfection

MiraChlor is manufactured using patented technology that creates pure HOCl, just like the body produces naturally. Endogenous HOCl eliminates all bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeasts, and spores, including the most stubborn types like HPV16 and BSE Prions. The Sars-CoV-2 virus that caused the Covid-19 pandemic is also just one of the many microorganisms that HOCl eliminates. MiraChlor is not only a surface disinfectant but also an antiseptic for the body.

2. Eliminates Biofilm

When an open wound occurs, it creates conditions for bacteria to enter and cause infection and damage. Biofilm is formed when bacteria invade, they rapidly increase in number, creating links to form a biofilm. When biofilm is formed on a wound, it becomes a barrier protecting microorganisms from external threats. Because of this membrane’s encapsulation and strong adhesion, bacteria can survive for a long time on the surface and deep within the wound, making them difficult to kill. In addition, bacteria are also more resistant to antibiotics under the biofilm cover.
Therefore, biofilm becomes an agent that slows down wound healing. Many current disinfectants have a broad spectrum but may not be able to completely remove biofilm. Some substances pass through the biofilm but are not strong enough to kill the bacteria inside. Therefore, the criterion of removing biofilm from the disinfectant is always considered when choosing.
MiraChlor contains HOCl with a stable pH that can reduce the development of biofilm as well as easily penetrate the biofilm and is very effective in reducing the microbial population present in the biofilm.

3. Fast and Effective

HOCl is produced by neutrophils. An activated neutrophil is estimated to produce 1.6 × 106 HOCl molecules per second. HOCl is neutral and does not carry an electrical charge, so it easily penetrates the negatively charged cell surface of bacteria and oxidizes and kills bacteria in just a few seconds.
MiraChlor is a high-concentration pure HOCl. Directly tested in Vietnam, MiraChlor kills 99.99999% (7log) of pathogens in 15 seconds (according to BS EN 1040: 2005, AOAC 966.04 cumulative standards). This is the highest and most effective antiseptic result compared to existing antiseptic materials on the world market.
Besides, using MiraChlor for disinfection does not require drying or rinsing.

4. Wound Healing

There are 3 phases in wound healing: Phase 1 hemostasis and inflammation, phase 2 proliferation and phase 3 remodeling.
MiraChlor has a strong anti-inflammatory ability due to its effect in controlling the response of mast cells. As part of the immune response to proliferating microorganisms, mast cells flood the wound site, contributing to inflammation.
MiraChlor is a high-concentration HOCl that has a beneficial effect on the migration of fibroblasts and keratinocytes, helping to proliferate and regenerate during the wound healing process.
MiraChlor has an antipruritic effect due to its ability to kill microorganisms at the wound, especially staphylococcus bacteria, and its anti-inflammatory ability by reducing components related to the pathophysiology of itching (itching/scratching, leading to further inflammation and increased risk of scar formation).
MiraChlor helps increase high oxygen in the tissues around the wound. Oxygen plays an important role in collagen formation, new capillary growth and infection control.
The features of HOCl contribute to all 3 phases of wound healing, leading to the MiraChlor solution being an ideal wound care agent.

5. No Harmful Substances, No Impurities

The manufacture of HOCl by old methods will leave residues or create substances that are toxic to the body. Other HOCl products have one or more substances such as lye – NaOH, chlorine bleach – NaOCl, hydrochloric acid – HCl, hypochlorite anion – OCl or even NaClO3 which is a herbicide. HOCl solutions will be measured by Raman spectroscopy (according to international standards) to check the purity of the products.
MiraChlor is manufactured by the most advanced 4.0 technology with a proprietary formula to create pure HOCl just like the body produces itself.

6. Safe

MiraChlor – Pure HOCl is produced by the body itself, so it is completely biocompatible, ensuring safety for the body.
There are many studies confirming the safety of HOCl for the body as well as comparing other disinfectants on the market. In medicine, there are 2 commonly used disinfectants, Chlorhexidine (CHX) and Povidone-iodine (PVP-I).
Evaluating cytotoxicity, fibroblasts soaked in three-minute solutions:
With Chlorhexidine, even when very dilute at 0.05%, only 10% of fibroblasts survived. 48% of fibroblasts survived with 1% Povidone-iodine (PVP-I), but no cells survived with 10% PVP-I. Meanwhile, 71% of cells survived with HOCl (a level similar to that with saline, ie not cytotoxic).
Day A et al concluded: Poor cell survival means that Chlorhexidine and Povidone-iodine products cannot be considered useful for wound treatment (disinfection), although it is an effective antibacterial agent.
Therefore, MiraChlor does not damage wound tissue, is not toxic to the body when used on a large area and can be used regularly and for a long time.

7. Does Not Contribute to Antibiotic Resistance

Antibiotic resistance is the ability of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites to grow in the presence of a drug that can normally kill or limit their growth. As a result, conventional therapies become ineffective. Infections therefore become more severe, leading to longer illness duration, higher treatment costs and a higher risk of death. Because of antibiotic resistance, more and more common infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, tuberculosis and foodborne illnesses are becoming more difficult and sometimes impossible to treat. Antibiotic resistance is the biggest threat to the entire healthcare industry in particular and society in general.
MiraChlor is a high-concentration pure HOCl that has the ability to non-selectively and instantly kill all bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeasts, and spores, including antibiotic-resistant types. Therefore, MiraChlor also does not create antibiotic resistance.
